The buccaneer is a UK jet fighter with 2 seats, developed for the Royal Navy for aircraft carriers. With the withdrawal of conventional, fixed-wing aircraft in 1978, the buccaneers were replaced on aircraft carriers. After being used only as a fighter of the land base for maritime missions. In 1980 came the first of the three current aircraft carriers in service with the Royal Navy and the Harrier fighter jet.
