Banaue rice terraces

Banaue rice terraces
More new pictures from Banaue, Bangaan, Hungduan and Hapao as an extended section of the new organic farm tutorial. Even more to come. Enjoy the beautiful nature scenery and applaud the extra ordinary effort made by the Ifugao population for the many thousand year old world heritage site as evidence that mankind needs no machines to produce outstanding architecture and landscape structures lasting beyond many lifetimes.

The original population of the Ifugao started approximately 3000 BC. The population of Ifugao is approximately 120'000 people spread over a surface of approx. 400 sq. kms. of high altitude steep Cordillera mountain region with mountains around Banaue up to 2000+ mtrs a.s.l. and highest peaks to some 2400 mtrs a.s.l.

2 photo journeys accompanied by car (2007) and trike (2011) that started in Baguio - to Banaue - then Hapao - then via Bay-Yo to Sagada, Mountain province and back via Benguet province to Baguio. The latter started directly in Banaue to complete this photo documentary and to gain more pictures for the organic farming turorial with pictures from Philippine farms and Cambodian farms.
